What is your minimum investment?
For comprehensive wealth management, relationships start at $1 million. However, we don’t have a set minimum and consider all aspects of potential relationships. Our goal is a great fit for you and for us. After our introduction meeting, we can have a frank conversation about how we can best serve you and will also tell you if we feel you would get better value from a different approach. Bottom line, let’s talk and see what works!
-
How much do you charge?
We primarily work off of an asset-based fee, anywhere from 0.6% to 1.15% of the assets being managed, depending on the size and scope of the relationship. For financial planning, we offer a broad range of services with varying scopes. The fees are based primarily on the expected time involved, but we quote a flat price to you when the scope is defined so you know exactly what to expect.

Is it just the two of you? What support is in place to back up Searer Planning and Investments?
We have strategic partners to provide support and foundational infrastructure to both us and our clients. Our accounts are housed at LPL Financial, a Fortune 500 company with a multitude of services and resources for clients and advisors to utilize. In addition, we partner with Professional Wealth Advisors, a group of like-minded advisors utilizing our combined scale to efficiently gain the technology, admin support, and resources we need. The result is that the two of us can focus almost entirely on providing world class service to our clients rather than all the logistics in the background. In addition, the other partner advisors are a top tier fall back plan for our clients should something unexpected happen to both of us.
-
Can I view my account online?
Yes, you will have online access through links on our website to both LPL’s Account View Online as well as eMoney for any planning relationships.

How do I open an account?
We open all accounts for you, making it a smooth and seamless process. Before we are ready to open an account, we’ll want to have our introductory meeting so we can confirm we are a good fit and determine the right types of accounts to open for your funds.
